This proofs that our strategies work well
The way we consume content has changed radically. Users choose on-demand content and it is rare that they only do so on one device at a time.
HBO landed in Spain at the end of 2016 at a time when it was becoming clear that users wanted to watch only what they like when they feel like it: streaming content.
Our goal is to generate expectation before the brand’s arrival in Spain, show the variety and quality of the content they offer and generate a database of users in our country. Subsequently, our focus was on attracting new users to subscribe to the HBO España video platform.
We conceptualized, designed and developed a coming soon landing page that highlights HBO España’s catalog of series and movies. We generated greater expectations and interest, inviting users to leave their email to receive news and enjoy exclusive free episodes. After leaving their email, users received an official communication from the brand with access to exclusive episodes of series such as ‘Westworld’, ‘Divorce’, ‘The Night Of’ and ‘Vinyl’.
In addition, we designed and developed themed landing pages for the ‘Series’, ‘Movies’ and ‘Family’ sections in order to attract users and increase the number of subscriptions at HBO España.
Finally, our follow up consisted in consulting tasks for the technical implementations resulting from web analytics requirements and other needs coordinated with the HBO España and HBO Nordic teams.
The question question should really be: why isn’t it? Working side by side with one of the giants par excellence of entertainment content creation in the midst of its arrival in Spain was a challenge in itself. Understanding Spanish user trends while coordinating with total transparency and synergy with a team of professionals abroad was undoubtedly one of the most enriching attributes of this project.
